The Three Core NPCs

Every island's starter chest contains three spawn eggs - one for each NPC. They're invulnerable, un-pushable, and unkillable once placed. Throw a vanilla egg at any of them and the entire dynamic shifts. Trade through them, quest with them, or catch them.

The Auctioneer

Player-to-Player Market

The Auctioneer hosts a localized auction house GUI. Players list items with asking prices - but the server owner defines hard min and max price limits for every Material/Item ID in config.yml. Nobody can corner the market, and nobody can dump their inventory into worthlessness either.

Price Control System

Every material has configurable min-price and max-price values. Players attempting to list outside these boundaries receive an error. This prevents both market manipulation and economy deflation.

Tradeable Items

Standard mob drops (Blaze Rods, Ghast Tears, Ender Pearls), vanilla eggs, and all standard resources are fully tradeable here. High-tier mob drops create a thriving player-to-player economy around mob farming.

Egg Relocation

The island owner can throw a standard vanilla egg at their own Auctioneer to despawn it and recover the spawn egg, allowing seamless relocation anywhere on the island.

The Thief

Black Market

The Thief is a server-to-player merchant for contraband - items explicitly blocked from the standard Auction House. His inventory is fully configurable, and his Mob Spawner sub-menu is the server's most powerful money sink.

Contraband Items

Anything the server owner marks as contraband cannot be listed on the Auctioneer. The Thief is the only legal outlet. Prices are static and fully configurable - no player negotiation.

Spawner Sub-Menu

A heavily restricted sub-menu for Mob Spawners. Daily inventory rotation with a configurable acquisition rate as low as 1%. Prices scale to extreme luxury levels - the primary server economy money sink by design.

Merchant Discount Scroll

Players can use the Merchant Discount Scroll to get 15% off all Black Market purchases for 15 minutes - the only way to reduce The Thief's prices.

The Clerk

Quest Master

Players click the Clerk to open a GUI, accept a quest, complete it, then click the Clerk again to hand it in and claim the reward. Simple loop - powerful progression driver.

Quest Types

  • Gather specific items or resources
  • Break a set number of specific blocks
  • Craft specific items a set number of times
  • Catch specific aquatic items while fishing
  • Collect specific resources dropped by mobs

Reward Types

  • Vault economy currency
  • Vanilla XP (experience points)
  • Custom items defined in config
  • Execute any console command on completion

Individual Tracking

Quest progress is completely individual per player. On a co-op island with 4 trusted members, each player maintains their own active quest list. Max concurrent quests is configurable (default: 3 per player).

Pokémon Egg Mechanic

Catch, Lose, or Relocate

Standard Minecraft eggs become a powerful and risky mechanic. Throw one at any NPC - yours or someone else's - and you might walk away with a valuable spawn egg. Or walk away with nothing.

Relocation (Own NPCs)

Throwing a vanilla egg at one of your own 3 core NPCs safely despawns it and drops its respective spawn egg for seamless repositioning. No risk, no loss.

Catch Attempt (Any NPC)

Throwing an egg at any ambient or custom NPC triggers a configurable catch chance roll. Success: the NPC despawns and drops its egg. Failure: the NPC despawns anyway and the egg is lost permanently.

Market Value of Eggs

Because vanilla eggs are critical for NPC relocation and capture, they're treated as a vital commodity - fully tradeable on both the Auction House and the Black Market, with configurable price limits.
